These sims are considered to have left the town for good. San Myshuno is a place you can move sims you no longer want in your challenge, such as children you don’t have room for once they reach young adulthood or ex-romantic partners.

Sims can purchase businesses in Magnolia Promenade, but cannot visit these locations until they have been purchased by a sim in the game. Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Windenburg, Forgotten Hollow, and Newcrest can be included in this challenge. You can choose whatever traits and aspirations you like, but you can also use the random trait generator to help mix things up. Aging may not be turned off while playing the founding family. If you want to play a household that has been moved out of your founder’s home, you can turn off aging so you do not miss time playing your founding family. The game must be set on a normal life span. You must use the money cheat to ensure this. In the case of a divorce, you must reduce the household funds by the amount the former spouse has when they move out (such as $20,000). You can move any sims into your founder’s household as you like, but they cannot bring any funds unless they will become a permanent part of the household, such as a spouse. You do not have to delete the existing families from the game, as long as you delete their homes. They must marry and/or reproduce from the townie pool. You can move them into an existing house in the game or build a new one. You will unlock careers and community lots as you play the game. Your founding sim can invite townies to move in to their home and then into houses in town. You can save them in the gallery to add back in later if you like. You will delete all of the residential lots in the game and evict the sims who occupied those households.
